Still Waiting !!!!!!

Well we are still waiting for a word from Pastor Dickson. He was scheduled to talk to the "mommies" on Monday and let Scott and I know their decision. As of now we are still waiting. I have tried several times to reach pastor but I have been unsuccessful. The waiting is hard and now I have to eat my own words "it's all in Gods timing". I do believe that with my whole heart but it's much harder to do when I am the one "waiting".
I will post again as soon as we hear something.

Waiting ! ! !

Well I had no idea when I started this blog things would be moving as fast as they have. Should have known since Breanna and Bridgett have been prophesying this from the beginning. Any way I will try to feel you in as best as I can.
We got a call from Pastor Dickson last week explaining he had two "mommies" both due to deliver in the next 1-3 weeks. Both are wanting to give up the babies but pastor instructed them to discuss this with their families. In the mean time we have contacted the Amani Baby Cottage to make sure the adoption can still take place through them since they were not the ones to actually locate the babies. As best as I understand that will not be a problem, once the babies are born they will be sent to the cottage and then we will wait for a court date. So as of this very moment I am waiting for a call from Pastor Dickson, he was supposed to speak with the women today and give us the final decision.
I am in awe each day of what the Lord is doing. It is basically unheard of for things to move along this fast. We just completed our home study and are still waiting for our finger printing dates and yet we may already have our "match". God is good !
Pray for the mommies
pray that our homeland security paperwork is completed quickly
pray for health of the babies
Pray that all parties involved have peace

I will blog again as soon as I hear from pastor. Bless him because since I got my international calling card he never knows what time of day or night his phone may start ringing. We have an eight hour time difference and sometimes I dial before I think.
Many Blessings

The Beginning

Well I guess you can say we are truly on our way to adoption. We now have a family blog. We had our home study done last week and all our paperwork has been sent to home land security.

Most all of you are aware that Scott and I are adopting from the Amani Baby Cottage in Jinja Uganda. We are all very excited, we feel as a family this is what the Lord has called us to do. I want to make one thing clear from the beginning, though this child will be blessed, it is Scott, Colton, Haley, Hannah and I that will be forever changed. We are the ones that are honored to have one of these beautiful children come into our home.

We feel that we are the privileged ones. God could have chosen anyone but he chose us. Now we just sit and wait and pray until "He" brings us our little boy.

When I have more time I will go into detail about how all this got started, but for now please keep my family in your prayers. Pray for Amani Baby Cottage and their care givers. They work hard and long hours to insure these children get the best care possible. Also pray for Mary Nuttal, she is our contact person here in the states and along with her full time job and volunteering for Amani she has two small children of her own. Both of which came from Amani several years ago.

Many Blessings
